Refuge
Lyrics
Refuge
*A revisit of the Psalms of David found in chapter 31. We, His children, sometimes forget that we have the privilege of entering His Secret Place and in there we are blessed.
[Verse 1]
When fear surrounds and doubts take hold,
His promises steady, His love unfolds.
He whispers softly, “You are mine,
In My secret place, you’ll always shine.”
[Chorus]
Beneath His shadow, I find my rest,
The secret place where I am blessed.
The world may rage, the storms may cry,
But in His refuge, my soul will lie.
[Verse 2]
The Almighty's wings are my sure retreat,
A shelter strong, my safe heartbeat.
He is my fortress, my God, my King,
To Him I run, to Him I cling.
[Chorus]
Beneath His shadow, I find my rest,
The secret place where I am blessed.
The world may rage, the storms may cry,
But in His refuge, my soul will lie.
[Bridge]
No harm can reach me in His embrace,
No foe can find this holy space.
Here, in His presence, I’m fully whole,
His peace, a balm, restoring my soul.
So I will say, in faith, not fear,
“My God is my refuge; He draws me near.
I trust in Him, my strength, my grace,
Forever secure in His secret place.”
[Chorus]
Beneath His shadow, I find my rest,
The secret place where I am blessed.
The world may rage, the storms may cry,
But in His refuge, my soul will lie.
